70-year-old immolates self due to medical problems

New Delhi, Aug 17 (UNI) A 70-year-old retired official of a paper mill allegedly committed suicide by setting himself on fire in Mandawali area of East Delhi this evening.

Satender, who retired as a Sales Officer from the J K Paper Mills, doused himself after pouring kerosene at his Konark Apartments in Mandawali at about 1830 hrs, according to sources.

His wife had gone to the market when Satender took the extreme step, reportedly fed up with his medical problems.

Admitted to a nursing home three days back, Satender was brought home today.

His son and daughter-in-law live in Mumbai.
