18 passengers go unconscious in train

Patna, Aug 17 (UNI) Altogether 18 passengers, belonging to different places in Bihar, were alighted in unconscious condition from 2388 Jansadharan exdpress at Mughalsarai railway station today.

Sources at Danapur Rail headquarter here said the passengers might have been offered eatables with intoxicating elements in between Allahabad to Kanpur under Northern Railway and North Central railways.

After consuming the eatables, the passengers fell unconscious and were traced in Mughalsarai. They were undergoing treatment at railway hospital in Mughalsarai and were out of danger. The sources said that the gang, allegedly behind the incident, was active in North Central Zones.

The identity and address of the victim passengers would be ascertained once they were in condition to give statements.
