Veteran volleyball player dead

Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, Aug 16 (UNI) A veteran sportsman and former national volley ball player N Govindappa died in his native town Punganur in Chittoor district.

According to his family sources here, he was 80 District Collector S S Rawat and Superintendent of Police V V Gopalakrishna condoled the bereaved family.

On behalf of the state Government, Mr Rawat announced a relief of Rs 25,000 to the deceased family, the sources added.
