ONGC to restart Hazira operations on Aug 19
New Delhi, Aug 16 (UNI) Energy major Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) today said it will restart its operations at the Hazira gas processing complex in Gujarat on August 19, instead of the earlier scheduled August 21.
''Phase III of the operations will commence either on 18 August night or 19 August morning. However, we are still assessing when the entire plant will become operational. We are hoping for early September,'' a company official said.
The plant received 40.5 mmscmd gas from ONGC's Bassein and B-55 fields and ONGC-Reliance-BG operated Panna/Mukta and Tapti fields.
''Due to the shut-dow, we are losing Rs 19 crore everyday in terms of revenue,'' the official added.
Heavy rains in catchment areas of Tapti river had forced the company to shut down the complex on August 8.
The plant receives around 40.5 million metric standard cubic meters of gas per day from the company's Offshore Basin field and the Panna, Mukta, Tapti (PMT) Joint Venture field.
The production loss is 1650 MT/day of LPG, 3350MT/day of Aromatic Naphtha, 417 MT/day of Superior Kerosene Oil (SKO) and 48 MT/day of High Speed Diesel (HSD).
The throughput to HBJ pipeline is at present nil.
