Lalu welcomes BCCI's move to recognise BCA

Patna, Aug 16 (UNI) Railway Minister and President of Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) Lalu Prasad today hailed the BCCI's decision to recognise the BCA.

Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Prasad said he would take steps to hold election of Bihar and Jharkhand Cricket Associations within three months. Office-bearers of the cricket associations of the two states would be announced soon.

Mr Prasad announced that national and international cricket matches would be organised in Bihar and Jharkhand, adding he would seek funds from BCCI for improving infrastructural facilities aimed at promoting new talents in these two states.

''Many more players like Dhoni will be groomed in Bihar,'' he remarked.
