Jharkhand assembly to commence from tomorrow
Ranchi, Aug 16 (UNI) The monsoon session of the Jharkhand Assembly, scheduled from tommorrow, is expected to be stormy as the opposition has decided to put the BJP-led-NDA government in the dock by raising issues of corruption and financial irregularities, among others.
The session would end on August 26.
Leader of opposition in Jharkhand assembly Sudhir Mahto today said the opposition was ready to encircle the Arjun Munda government on common developmental issues.
Accusing the state government of adopting anti-developmental attitude, he said the session of this small period was not sufficient to discuss the problems of states.
On the issue of benefit of profit the opposition leader the state government would face strong protest if the bill was again brought in the session.
During the session the state government would present its first supplementary budget for the year 2006-07 on 18 August.
The debate and voting on the supplementary budget would be done on 21 August.
However, State Welfare Minister Ramesh Singh Munda said the government would try to find out remedies to the problems of the common man.
For the first time the question hour would be telecast live by private news channels whereas the local station of Doordarshan would present it in its evening news bulletin.
