Janmasthami celebrated in Tripura

Agartala, Aug 16: Janmasthami was celebrated throughout Tripura with great fervour today.

Thousands of devotees thronged the Krishna temples in various parts of the state since the wee hours. In the capital city devotees queued up in the Jagannath Bari Temple and Srikrishina Temple to offer prayers. The festival will continue for seven days at the Sri Krishna temple and three days at the Jagannathbari Temple.

Both the temples were illuminated since yesterday evening.

Various phases of Lord Krishna's life, starting from his childhood, have been enacted for the devotees. The 'Kalia Daman' was beautifully displayed at both the temples.
