Israel killed senior Hizbollah man before truce-army

JERUSALEM, Aug 16 (Reuters) Israeli troops killed a senior Hizbollah commander just hours before a ceasefire took effect this week between Israel and the Lebanese guerrilla group, the Israeli army said today.

Soldiers killed Sajed Dewayer, head of Hizbollah's special forces, early on Monday, an army spokesman said, but declined to give further details or say why the military had delayed releasing the information.
