HC reserves orders on Sobha John's plea
Kochi Aug 16 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today reserved orders on the petition filed by the state to set aside the order of CJM Ernakulam granting conditional bail to Sobha John,the main accused in the Sabarimala Tantri Attack Case.
Police today produced the case diary before Justice K R Udhaya Bhanu to show the progress of the investigation.
Earlier, the High Court had stayed the release of Sobha John on the basis of the order of the CJM Court.
Thereafter, Sobha John moved the court, seeking to vacate the stay order. She submitted that her continued detention was unwarranted.
Director General Prosecution P G Thampi, opposing Sobha John's plea, submitted that she should be detained in prison at least till the arrest of Bachu Rahman, an absconding accused.
