Gulf Oil bags Rs 110 cr contract from SCCL
Mumbai, Aug 16 (UNI) IDLconsult, the mining and infrastructure division of Gulf Oil Corporation, has been awarded a mining contract worth Rs 110 crore by Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL).
The project is to be executed over a period of 24 months at Manuguru in Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh.
SCCL is one of the largest coal mining companies in India and has turned around from a loss-making situation to a highly profitable organization through a process of outsourcing their main mining activities in the last five years.
IDLconsult undertakes drilling, blasting, excavation, hauling, and dump-yard management in the mining sector. It also possesses the skills for controlled blasting, tunneling and shaft sinking in the infrastructure sector.
Company managing director Subhas Pramanik said, ''We are honoured to have bagged this large contract and we shall continue to maintain the same standards of excellence in our performance and contribute to the economic growth in the mining industry.'' The Company's mining and infrastructure division has doubled its service income in 2005-06 to Rs 72 cr and has plans to double it in 2006-07, he said.
