Govt will pay Rs 80 crore crop insurance: Minister

Eluru, Aug 16 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister N Raghuveera Reddy today said the government would pay the crop insurance amount of Rs 80 crore to affected farmers within ten days.

Speaking to mediapersons here, he said the Central team would tour the state on August 18 to assess the damage caused by floods.

He said the government would construct pucca houses for those who had lost their homes in floods.

An amount of Rs 2000 would be paid as compensation per acre to the fully damaged agriculture lands belonging to farmers.
