Govt committed to help farmers: Minister

Alamuru, Andhra Pradesh, Aug 16 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister Raghuveera Reddy today said the government would help the farmers who were affected in the recent floods.

Mr Reddy who visited Madiki, Baduguvanilanka, Jonnada and Chemudulanka villages in Alamuru mandal assured the farmers that the government would supply seed at a 50 per cent subsidy rate.

He said river bunds would be strengthened to avert future breaches.
