Godawari Power Kiln breaks down, operations to suffer for 2-3 weeks

New Delhi, Aug 16 (UNI) Godawari Power and Ispat Limited (GPIL) today said that a break-down has occurred in the 500 TPD Kiln of its Sponge Iron Unit.

Due to the break down in the kiln, the sponge iron and 10 MW waste heat recovery plant of the company would remain closed for about two to three weeks for maintenance and resuming operations.

A company statement said that as a result of the break down, there would be a loss of production of Sponge Iron, captive power generation and steel division.

However, it said that another sponge iron kiln of 350 TPD and 7 MW waste recovery power plant and partial operations in Steel will continue normally during this period.
