Gang robs merchant of Rs 90 lakh

Coimbatore, Aug 16 (UNI) A six-member gang robbed a hosiery merchant of Rs 90 lakh and 800 gm of gold from his house at Rakkipalayam, near Tirupur, last night.

Police said the miscreants entered the house of Ashok Jain of Bihar and robbed him at gun point before escaping in the cover of darkness.

Police rushed to the spot with sniffer dogs and forensic officials. Further investigations were on.
