Dadri project to be completed despite opposition: Mulayam

Mainpuri, UP, Aug 16 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today asserted that Dadri Power Project of the Reliance Energy would be completed despite roadblocks created by Congress and other forces.

''We are committed to complete the project at Dadri whereas leaders like V P Singh, Raj Babbar and Congress are putting spanners to derail the power plant, '' he alleged.

Addressing a rally here, Mr Yadav said '' these people don't want any development and are only interested in petty politics''.

Reiterating that his government has turned the state into a development-oriented region of the country, the CM said since the opposition parties feared the results of the coming assembly polls, they were trying to create several obstructions to defame the government.

He said more than Rs 60,000 crore developmental projects have been started in the state during the present regime and hoped that once his government gets absolute majority in the polls, the development works would accelerate on a much faster pace.
