Corpse found suspected to be that of Dayaram: DGP

Shivpuri, MP, Aug 16 (UNI) A body found by police today, in this district's Sujwaya forest, is suspected to be that of dacoit chieftain Dayaram Gadaria who carried a reward of Rs 5 lakh.

Earlier, police claimed that Dayaram was neutralised in an August 5 encounter at Majhera jungle but no corpse was found at that juncture.

''In view of the likelihood of the body being Dayaram's, a DNA test is being conducted and the report is expected in three to four days. The corpse was found in a pit under wood by a patrol team about 5 km from the encounter site,'' DGP Swaraj Puri told UNI.

The top officer pointed out that the type of clothes that the bandit was habituated to wearing were observed on the body.
