Cong worker kidnapped
Hyderabad, Aug 16 (UNI) Ravi Kumar, a Congress worker was allegedly kidnapped by another member of the party in broad daylight in the city here today.
Police said Ravi Kumar and Tirumalesh Naidu, both Congressmen, had differences for some time.
Ravi Kumar today left his residence to attend the function to unveil the statue of former Chief Minister, late Anjaiah, at Lumbini Park opposite the Secretariat along with other party workers.
According to the complaint filed by those accompanying Mr Kumar, Mr Tirumalesh Naidu and his followers, as planned earlier, were waiting for him on Road No 11 in Banjara Hills. They intercepted the vehicle and dragged Mr Kumar into their vehicle and sped away.
An investigation was on, police said.
