Body of abducted builder's son found, CM condemns
Panaji, Aug 16 (UNI) Police has recovered the body of the son of a city-based builder, who was abducted for ransom on Monday.
DIG Ujjwal Mishra said, the body of Mandar Surlikar (20), who had been allegedly kidnapped from a cafe in the busy Miramar area here on Monday, was found yesterday in the Keri Ponda area of South Goa.
Chief Minister Pratapsinh Rane has condemned the brutal murder Mr Mishra said five suspects -- Sheikh Niyaz, Rohan Dhugat, Ryan Pinto, Sunny Deg and Shankar Tiwari -- all between 19 and 22 years of age, have today been arrested in this connection.
On Monday, Mandar's mother received a call from the kidnappers, demanding Rs 50 lakh as ransom.
The victim was a class XII dropout and a disc jockey. His father Deepak Surlikar is a noted Vasco da Gama-based builder.
