Blast at ISCON complex in Imphal, ten injure

Imphal, Aug 16 (UNI) At least ten people were injured, three of them seriously, when a powerful bomb went off during a congregation where more than 1000 people were offering prayers to mark Janmastami, the birth of Lord Krishna, here this evening.

Police said a powerful bomb was blasted in fornt of Lord Krishna temple at the complex of ISCON near here at 7 pm when people were offering prayers during evening puja.

They said at least ten people including some women were injured in the blast. They were taken to Regional Institute of Medical Science hospital where condition of three including a girl was critical.

No one was arrested in this connection. Police cordon off the area to launch combing operation.

No organisation so far claimed the responsibility of the blast.
