BCCI income has doubled: Shah
Chennai, Aug 16 (UNI) The BCCI's income has more than doubled to Rs 430 crore from Rs 210 crore, Board Secretary Niranjan Shah and Treasurer N Srinivasan revealed today.
Addressing a press conference after conclusion of the two-day special general body meeting here, the BCCI functionaries said this came to light after the board approved the accounts for 2005-06.
They said most of the revenue came from media rights to the tune of Rs 341 crore.
The board derived most of its income for 2005-06 from the England tour. Mr Shah and Mr Srinivasan said the surplus from tours earning had gone up from Rs 40 crore to Rs 60 crore.
