BCCI in touch with team management as Proteas pull out

Chennai, Aug 16 (UNI) The Board of Cricket for Control in India (BCCI) is holding consultations with the team management in Sri Lanka following the reported pull out of South Africa from the tri-series for security reasons in the strife-torn nation.

Talking to UNI here, board Secretary Niranajan Shah said that he was discussing the issue with BCCI President Sharad Pawar and the team management to decide the future course of action.

''We are in touch with the team management. A final decision will be taken after the discussions'', he added.

South Africa had been expressing concern about their continued stay in Colombo for security reasons after a blast rocked the city a couple of kilometres from the team hotel on August 14.
