Assam Rifles apprehend arms smugglers

Aizawl, Aug 16 (UNI) The Assam Rifles (AR) jawans have apprehended four armed smugglers here last night.

Police sources today said the Assam Rifles last night handed over C Lalromawla(45), a resident of Rengdil village in Mamit district.

One lady identified as Lalparmawil(45) and her two sons were arrested form their rented house in Dinthar locality.

Assam Rifles sources said, acting on a tip-off from the subsidiary intelligence branch, they had raided Lalromawl's rented house house in Khatla area last night and seized 177 rounds of 7.62mm rifles ammunition.
