8-year-old ''Govinda'' girl crushed to death under lorry

Mumbai, Aug 16 (UNI) An eight-year-old girl, who was part of a ''Govinda team'' was crushed to death by a lorry during the Janmashtami celebrations here.

Police said Manisha Khade was riding pillion on a scooter which skidded throwing her off. The girl was crushed under a lorry coming from behind. Police said Manisha was part of the Parel Village ''Govinda'' team.

In another incident, 13-year-old Sagar Mane received head and neck injuries when he fell from the sixth tier of a human pyramid while trying to break a ''dahi handi''. He has been admitted to the St George Hospital here.
