Barasat, Aug 16 (UNI) A court here today sent two suspected Pakistani terrorists in 14-day police custody.

Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate in-charge Rajesh Guha Roy sent Mohammad Zuber(24) and Mohamed Sohail (20) in police custody after they were produced before him this afternoon following a prolonged interrogation by the CID West Bengal and other agencies.

The duo were nabbed by the BSF from Sahebkhali under Hingalganj police station area in North 24 Parganas on Monday night when they were crossing the Ichhamati river. The BSF later handed them over to police yesterday.

''Both the accused belong to the banned Jaish-e-Mohammed and Zuber was earlier with the outlawed Lashker-e-Toiba,'' police said yesterday.

The BSF had earlier said the terrorists were on a ''specific mission'' to India and were planning to reach Uri sector in Jammu and Kashmir via Delhi.

They were trained in using arms in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and landed at Mirpur in Bangladesh early last month. Some documents and a map were recovered from their possession, sources said.

They had revealed that they dealt in arms and were engaged in smuggling RDX and explosives from Bangladesh to India since July, sources added.
