Three drowned in Bhagalpur

Kahalgaon, Aug 15 (UNI) Three people were drowned, when a boat ferrying them, capsized in Ganga river under Sabour block of the Bhagalpur district last night.

District Magistrate Bipin Kumar said here today that around 12 people were on board when the boat capsized near Lailakh Diara under Sabour block. Nine people swam to safety, he added.

Divers had been pressed into service to fish out the bodies, Mr Kumar informed.
