South West monsoon active over Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 15 (UNI) The South West monsoon was active over Kerala with rains lashing most places in the state and a few places in Lakshadweep.

The local Met office here said the highest rainfall of seven cm was recorded at Aluva.

Thodupuzha received six cm of rains followed by Allapuzha - five cm.

Thrissur, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram Air Port and Chertala got four cm each, the Met office added.

It also warned of isolated heavy rains in the next 48 hrs in Kerala and Lakshadweep.
