President Kalam to interact with V-Cs of Punjab

Jalandhar, Aug 15: President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam will visit Jalandhar on August 17 to interact with vice - chancellors of various universities of Punjab and students of Kanya Maha Vidhyalaya(KMV).

An official spokesman said here yesterday that Dr Kalam would arrive here on August 17 afternoon to address vice - chancellors at a meeting to be held on the KMV campus here.

Dr Kalam would also interact with the students of the institute later.

Prior to this, Dr Kalam would visit Sultanpur Lodhi in the adjoining district of Kapurthala to witness the cleaning of the holy rivulet Kali Bein by a voluntary organisation.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner A Venuprasad yesterday held a meeting to review administrative and security arrangements for the presidential visit.

Senior Superintendent of Police Ishwar Singh and Kapurthala Senior Superintendent of Police RN Dhoke and other officers participated in the meeting.
