Police raid video shop, pirated CDs seized

Pondicherry, Aug 16 (UNI) Thousands of pirated CDs were seized from a video shop here during a police raid last night.

According to police sources today, the Tamil film fraternity had submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister N Rangasamy to put an end to the menace of VCD piracy in the union territory which was seriously affecting the film industry.

The Chief Minister had assured of action to check the menace.

The sources informed more raids would follow last night's action.
