Moderate tremor measuring 4.2 hits Shillong

Shillong, Aug 15: An earthquake of light intensity hit Meghalaya capital here today.

The tremor measuring 4.2 Richter Scale lasted for a few seconds, occurred at 1252 hours, about 46 km south west of Shillong Central seismological office, Central Seismological Observatory officials told UNI.

CSO officials said there was no report of any loss of life or property.
