Jharkhand ready for next year's 34th national games: Munda
Ranchi, Aug 15 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda today said the state is ready to hold the 34th national games in a befitting manner scheduled to be held next year.
Announcing this after unfurling the national tri-colour at the Morabadi ground on the occasion of 60th Independence Day celebrations, Mr Munda said a conducive ambience had been created for the mega event which would be reflected at national and international levels soon.
Construction of sports complexes was going on, he said adding sports training centres had been raised to 16 now.
Besides, construction of stadium was in progress in districts like Simdega, Palamu, Loherdaga, Gumla, Latehar, Dumka, Saraikela and Sahebganj.
The Chief Minister spoke on developmental activities and his government's initiative on making education and health available for all.
He said the state has 37 per cent of the country's total mines and minerals and the government has made serious efforts to create ambience for indutrialisation.
Meanwhile, no untoward incident was reported from any part of the state.
