Independence Day celebrated in Tehran

Tehran, Aug 15 (UNI) India's 60th Independence Day was celebrated here today with enthusiasm and pride as about 350 members of Indian community participated in a colourful ceremony.

Indian ambassador to Iran Manbir Singh unfurled the national flag and read out President A P J Abdul Kalam's message.

Students of Kendriya Vidayalaya, Tehran, along with the others present, sang the patriotic songs, folowed by a reception for all those present on the occasion.
