Bangalore, Aug 15 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka, at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over North Interior Karnataka.

Heavy rainfall amounts (cm): Gerusoppa 7.

Other rainfall amounts (cm): Madikeri 6, Kadra 5 each, Bhagamandala, Thirthahalli 4 each; Sirsi, Yellapura, Udupi, Karwar, Belgaum 3 each; Honavar, Puttur, Haveri, Belgaum AP 2 each; Mangalore AP, Panambur, Kundapur, Dharwad, Ponampet 1 each.

Forecast valid until Thursday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka; at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate to heavy rain likely to occur at most places over Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada,Shimoga, Chikmagalur and Kodagu districts. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over Belgaum, Dharwad, Davanagere, Bellary, Hassan districts and at isolated places over remaining districts of the State.

Local forecast for Bangalore city: Generally cloudy. One or two spells of light rain.
