Former Telugu Varsity V C passes away

Hyderabad, Aug 15 (UNI) Potti Sriramulu Telugu University former Vice Chacellor and famous Telugu writer Prof V V Subramanyam passed away after a prolonged illness today.

He was undergoing treatment in a corporate hospital here.

He was 70 and survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters.

Mr Subramayam, has served as Vice Chancellor of the Telugu University from 2002 to 2005. He retired from the Central University as Dean of Telugu Department in 2004.

He wrote as many as 40 books on Telugu literature.

Mr Subramanyam was born at Adipudi Village in Prakasham district in 1937. He had been paralysed for last three years.
