Dy. CM for action against those who had links with Telgi
Shimoga, Karnataka, Aug 15 (UNI) Karnataka government is likely to initiate action against those who allegedly had links with multi-crore fake stamp paper scam main accused Abdul Kareem Telgi as revealed by him in a narco-analysis test recently.
Disclosing this to news persons at Jog Falls, about 100 km from here last evening, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa said that he would discuss with Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, the possibility of taking action against politicians and police officials reportedly named by Telgi for having links with him.
"What I had alleged as the opposition leader on the floor of Karnataka Assembly earlier, has come true now. This 'nexus' should not be pardoned at any cost and all those involved should be brought to the books," he said.
The government would like to take action against those involved, he added.
Mr Yediyurappa alleged that the UPA government in the centre was showing 'step motherly' attitude to Karnataka which was battered by floods in Bhima and Krishna rivers. "It has released assistance to Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, but not uttered a word regarding release of funds to Karnataka, which is also badly affected due to floods this year. We want the centre to release funds for relief immediately. The team to assess the damage can come later," he added.
