Contempt proceeding against jail superintendent

Patna, Aug 14 (UNI) Patna First Class Judicial Magistrate, Shobhakant Mishra today directed the Inspector General (prison) to withhold salary of the superitendent of Phuwarisharif Camp Jail for disobeying a court order after papers being prepared for contempt proceeding.

The superintendent of Phulwarisharif Camp Jail had failed to produce an under trial prisoner in the court despite its repeated order. The under trial was an accused in a case in 2003.

Earlier, the court had issued show cause notice against the jail superintendent in this connection.
