CNN-IBN Hindi news channel goes on air

New Delhi, Aug 15: CNN-IBN today launched its 24-hour Hindi news channel christened IBN 7.

The delivery of news on the channel will be driven by the principle 'Khabar, har keemat par' and the content and programming by the spirit of 'Karna hai to karna hai', according to Television Eighteen Network, which owns the channel.

''We are delighted to launch IBN 7, our 24-Hour Hindi news channel for the benefit of the Hindi news viewers,'' said Rajdeep Sardesai, Editor-in-Chief of CNN-IBN and IBN 7.

Sardesai said the new channel would present multi-genre news programming package for the Hindi viewers. ''The focus will be on building a channel that broadcasts news as it happens, when it happens, wherever it happens,'' he said.
