Army averts mine blast in Doda on I-Day eve

Jammu, Aug 15 (UNI) Averting a big tragedy on the eve of 60th Independence day here, the army defused the mines laid by militants on the route of Doda Kulhand, nine kms from district headquarters.

Sources said army got information that militants have laid mines on the route from where the people would pass to attend the Independence day function.

Army patrolling team stopped the traffic and defused the mines yesterday.
