Permission for idol installation, immersion made mandatory
Hyderabad, Aug 14 (UNI) As part of the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities organisers can install idols of Lord Ganesh in the public places of Hyderabad and Secunderabad only after obtaining prior permission in writing from the divisional Assistant Commissioners of Police concerned, police today said.
Commissioner of Police Hyderabad A K Mohanty said separate permission must be sought for each idol.
As part of the festival which falls on August 27, special celebrations would be held for 11 days culminating in a final procession on September 6.
Application forms for idol installation would be available at all police stations from August 17 to 19.
The procession for the immersion of the idol also should clear such formalities and application forms should be filed on or before August 21.
Application forms should clearly state the place and the date of the proposed installation, as also date, time, route and the destination of the proposed immersion procession.
The organisers seeking permission for installation should furnish a no objection certificate from the owner of the premises or land, irrespective of the fact whether it is private, government, municipal or trust property.
Installations will be permitted only at places where it would not cause any obstruction to free flow of traffic and without infringing law and order.
Use of loudspeakers would be restricted to box-type only and permission is made mandatory for both the organisers who hire the equipment and the dealers or company who supply the equipment.
The noise levels should not exceed the permissible limits and its usage was banned 2200 hours and 0600 hours.
