Lebanese minister says truce holding up
Paris, Aug 14: Lebanese Finance Minister Jihad Azour said on today a UN-brokered truce to end nearly five weeks of fighting between Israel and Hizbollah was holding up and that there was no more shooting.
Asked on France 2 television whether the guns had fallen silent, Azour said, "According to the information I have until now, yes. Currently the situation is stable along the whole border and across the zones of hostilities."
