Chennai receives heavy rain

Chennai, Aug 14 (UNI) Chennai and its suburbs were lashed by heavy rain in the evening, bringing respite to the people.

The rain, which started around 1500 hrs, lasted till 2200 hrs.

Rain occured over most parts of the city bringing respite to the people who were suffering from sweltering heat.
