Mumbai, Aug 14: The BSE Sensex, backed by strong investors' sentiment, surged to a three-month high of 11,312.99 points today.

The upswing was primarily governed by three factors - truce in West Asia between Israel and Hezbollah militants, decline in crude oils price and firm Asian markets and European markets.
