Rapist gets 8 year's imprisonment

Aizawl, Aug 13: Eight year's rigorous imprisonment has been awarded to a rapist here by the Additional District Magistrate.

According to the order issued by the Judicial Magistrate Marli Vankung, apart from eight years of imprisonment, a fine of Rs 5000 has also been slapped against the accused Rajen Singh(36) for raping a minor girl.

Mr Singh had employed the girl, a close relative of his wife, as a domestice help in January 2004.
