President Kalam to visit Jabalpur in October

Jabalpur, Aug 13: President A P J Abdul Kalam will visit this cantonment town on October 12 to take part in the golden jubilee function of the Rani Durgawati University.

''Dr Kalam will be chief guest at the convocation. Governor Balram Jakhar, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Assembly Speaker Ishwardas Rohani will be among those present. A souvenir will contain a description of five decades of the varsity's journey,'' Vice-Chancellor S M Pal Khurana said yesterday.

Former vice-chancellors are also among the invitees. Those university employees who have completed 25 years of service will be honoured.
