Novel music album to inspire patriotism

Chennai, Aug 13: In a novel venture to inspire youth in the country to build a new India, revoke the spirit of fight against terrorism and other forces, a Chennai based music organisation founded by S Sowmya and K N Shashikiran, well known classical music singers, will release an album of patriotic songs in ten languages on the Independence Day.

The album in Tamil, Gujarati, Marathil, Urdu, Kanada, Malayalam, English, Hindi and other langauges, is appropriately titled ''Hindustan Hamara'' to inspire the young minds to strive for a new emerging India as a strong force in the world, according to Mr Shashikiran.

The album is to be autographed by President A P J Abdul Kalam.

The music has been rendered by a child artiste Ms Sruthi, a seventh standard student, a student of Shashikira and Sowmya. The songs have also been rendered by other talented and budding playback singers like Hariharan, Ms Saindhavi and Pradeep Kumar and Master Vaibhav from United States of America. The music has been arranged by another talented young music director Master Sathosh.

The album would also be unique in the sense that it would be one of the first to be simultaneously launched online in MP3 format to enable the I-pod uses worldwide to download on Independence Day. The album will also be available in CD and casette forms.
