Israel says 19 soldiers killed in clashes

JERUSALEM, Aug 13 (Reuters) Nineteen Israeli soldiers were killed in clashes with Hizbollah guerrillas in southern Lebanon, an Israeli army spokeswoman said today.

The army had said earlier 11 troops were killed in southern Lebanon yesterday and that more than 70 had been wounded.
