Arrow International floats Okaya Infocom
New Delhi, Aug 13: Arrow International, promoted by the 600 crore-Microtek Group, has forayed into software development with its new company Okaya Infocom at a planned investment of Rs 25 crore and will start its UK operations by next month.
''Okaya Infocom plans to set up its company-owned office in London by September 2007. We will spent about Rs 25 crore by the end of March 2007,'' Okaya Infocom CEO K K Arora said.
The company will operate through its office in Noida inaugurated last evening. Okaya Infocom also plans to open another office in Jaipur by March next year.
''We have already acquired 25,000 square metres land at Jaipur for the purpose,'' the CEO said.
Besides, the company has opened an office in New York and appointed Mr Sanjiv Gupta as Promoter and President for its operations in the US.
The company also announced the appointment of Mr Rajesh Malhotra as Promoter and Chief Operating Officer for India operations and Mr Rajesh Gupta from Okaya/Microtek group as the Chairman of Okaya Infocom Private Ltd.
Arrow International owns the 'Okaya' brand of energy storage devices.
