ULFA strikes again

Guwahati, Aug 12 (UNI) ULFA struck terror by trigguring blasts in which many people were injured in Asom this evening.

Several persons were injured when the outfit triggered a blast in railway colony of Bamunimaidan area of the city this evening, police said. The blast occurred near a temple in the colony at 1715 hours today.

The area has been a target of terrorist blasts over the years as the railway lines go through it and the Guwahati refinery is located near it.

ULFA made another abortive attempt in Lakhimpur, in upper Asom, in which a grenade failed to burst, police said.
