Two killed in mishap

Palakkad, Aug 12 (UNI) Two people were killed and two others seriously injured when the car in which they were travelling collided with a lorry at Chethali, near Kuzhalmannan, in the district today.

The deceased were identified as Krishnan (52) and driver Sreekrishnan (50), both hailing from Ernakulam.

The tragedy occurred when the car, in which they were proceeding to Ernakulam from Palani, collided with a lorry going to Palakkad from Thrissur, police said.

The seriously injured, Geetha and Susan, were admitted to a private hospital here in a serious condition, police added.
