Tripur a brings amendments in contract work

Agartala, Aug 12 (UNI) The Tripura government will bring some amendments in contractual work to make it fasder and complete all government work in time.

According to official sources here, the state government decided to bring some modifications in tender rules to ensure that contractors speed up and complete all development and construction work in time. In most cases it was observed that contractors failed to complete the respective work entrusted to them through tender call in time, causing various problems for the government.

To bring such amendments in the tender rules, a committee has already been formed and a proposal to make some modification has been placed before the state government. The rules will come into effect as soon as it gets the approval of the cabinet.

Developmental work was on in different parts of the state but in most cases it was noticed that those were not completed in time. Due to this delay, the budget for the ongoing work increased and various departments faced problems in preparing the next project.
