Token remuneration for plant protection

Bhopal, Aug 12 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government is considering to pay token remuneration to individuals and voluntary bodies for protecting saplings planted under the Hariyali Mahotsava, Chief Minister S S Chouhan said today.

He was speaking at a tree plantation programme at Barkheda Nathu village near the state capital.

Official sources claimed one crore saplings had already been planted and by end of this month it would cross six crore equivalent to the state's population.

Mr Chouhan launched the tree plantation drive from SOS Children's Village on July 25.
